Complex wastewater connections
Some connections must be done by our maintenance contractors
Our network maintenance contractor must carry out a wastewater connection if it involves any of the following:
- A pressure sewer system
- A vacuum system
- Isolation
- Significant flow management.
Are you ready to apply? You can apply to connect to the wastewater network if you have:
- Received engineering planning approval (EPA) from Auckland Council. This includes submitting compliance statements CS3 and CS4. See Compliance.
- Received a letter of approval from us.

How to apply- Email [email protected] with your project details and request a connection quot
- We obtain a quote from the contractor and send it to you within 10 working days
- You accept the quote
- We send you an invoice
- You pay the invoice
- Our contractor contacts you directly about the timing of the work
- The contractor carries out the connection
- We send you a letter confirming that the connection has been done, with a list of required documents
- You send all documents to [email protected]
- We send you a Certificate of Connection. You will need this for the 224C process with Auckland Council.
