If you plan to build or dig within 2 metres of our water or wastewater pipes, you need to apply for Works Over approval.

Before we can connect your pipes to our networks we must receive full payment of the invoice.

Water

The standard charges relating to water connections include:

• application processing

• technical assessment

• installing, moving or disconnecting a water meter.

Wastewater

The standard charges relating to water connections include:

• application processing

• technical assessment

• installing a boundary kit (if needed)

• disconnecting.

Additional charges may apply, depending on the site. Non-standard charges may apply for: a road crossing, traffic management, arborists and other services, or hindrance by above-ground structures.

The IGC is a contribution towards our bulk infrastructure, to cater for customers who increase their demand on our services.
Examples include:

• connecting a new property to our network

• connecting a new dwelling on an existing property

• increasing water use for a commercial property.

If the dwelling is 65 sqm or less, you may be eligible for a reduced rate.
